Sapley Woods

The final resting place of a loved one’s cremated remains is an extremely important and personal decision and careful consideration should be given to all options available.  To help you with this process we can hold cremated remains for up to three months without charge, allowing you time to consider how you wish to remember your loved one, and ultimately what is to be the final resting place of their cremated remains.

Sapley Woods is the dedicated area of our grounds which has been set aside for scattering of cremated remains.  All remains prior to being laid to rest, are combined with return to nature soil to ensure the best environment is maintained for plants and micro organisms.

Wooden Plaque Posts

An oak plaque can be installed on one of the oak posts located in specified areas throughout the woods.
The initial purchase of the Post Plaque includes the inscription and placement on one of the oak posts located in specific areas throughout the Sapley Woods for 5 years.
Once the initial adoption period has elapsed, should you choose not to renew the lease, the Plaque can be removed from the post, collected and taken away and the space will be reallocated.

Bronze Bench Plaque

A memorial plaque can be purchased for placement on one of the memorial benches located in Sapley Woods. Each plaque measures 7” x 3” and can fit 168 characters spread over 6 lines.

Our wooden memorial benches are bespoke hardwood that are traditionally constructed. They only use 100% recycled and sustainable English hardwoods. The bench is in harmony with the environment and sustainably sourced.

Once the initial adoption period has elapsed, should you choose not to renew the plaque lease, the plaque will be collected and taken away and the space will bereallocated.
